looking for cheap 223, 9mm and .40/10mm bullets
« on: July 06, 2010, 07:53:22 PM »
anyone know of a place to start, prefer plated for the 40/10mm cause they are going through a glock. the 223 and 9mm i dont care as much about. for the most part the 9mm loads are gonna be just to fire lead off. the 223 i would prefer jacketed just to keep things clean and what not.

any thoughts or ideas on where to start? i prefer local to avoid shipping cost. trying to get my practice round cost under current prices 8.9c per 9mm, 3.7 per primer and 1.5c per charge giving me a total of 14.1 cents per round per 9mm. about 18 for 40SW. dont have time to do the math for 223 but its been about 18-25 cents  bullets are more less teh cost part for me. btw my time is worthless so reloading is my option  ;D

Um there is a GROUP BUY ending tomorrow for Xtreme bullets (which IMHO are the best or one of the best plated bullets made).  They are hella cheap through the group buy.
I can personally vouch for their awesomeness.  1400+ fps out of my 9mm and 10mm pistols with excellent accuracy.

Yup, some guy is doing a group buy for some bullets... ;). This is the second time I have done a group buy from Xtreme, they are great to work with and will do another group buy from them sometime in the fall. Their prices are going to the best you can find for a multi-caliber group buy and you can order in them in 500 or 1k too.

If there were enough people interested sooner, I would be willing to doing it earlier.

Yep, I got in on the last buy on Extreme bullets. They shoot great in the glocks and the revolvers with no leading problems.
Got in on this buy too. Low delivered cost.
Got some 223 coming. Wish they had some spitzer type in the 308 instead of flat point. Maybe later on.

A few months ago I reloaded a thousand once fired brass with pulled 55gr .223 FMJ bullets I bought from "Rodney". Email him at .. rockin_rods@msn.com if you wish and ask if he still has some available. They miked out at new bullet dimensions. Only two of 500 were what I consider not usable.

I use pulldown components for loading .223 blasting ammo.  My cost per thousand is right around $120.00 using free range brass.  The key to saving money is to buy in BULK.

I have been ordering from this guy: http://www.shop.rmrbullets.com/

He is in Pocatello, and the shipping is free. I get the bullets a day or two after I order. So far I have ordered both the 62gr and 55gr .223 and my next order will be for 124gr 9mm.

You can buy new bullets for about the same price as pulled if you look around.
