155gr 30-06 loads
« on: June 25, 2010, 06:54:48 AM »
 Has anyone loaded 155gr into a 30-06?
The 155gr Amax is a good round for shooting chucks and other small game, if
you don't want to save the meat or hides..
Post any information that you found helpful.......

used to load a 150gr Nosler Ballistic Tip for hunting deer, then would swith to 180gr partitions for elk...

it's been a while thought, I'd have to go back and look at my load data, seems like it was IMR 4589 or something like that and 40 something grains...

good load, and was very accurate in my hunting stick.

Nomad,
I used 150grn Nosler Partition over a full charge of R19 out of my '06 for deer hunting a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure you know the rest of the story, you own those bullets now. One and only time I've ever seen a Partition fail. I like the heavier bullets 180 and up for hunting.
