Useful Books. Got any suggestions?
« on: June 12, 2010, 07:48:56 PM »
Greetings, and God bless.

Anyone remember Ranger Rick and his little booklets? No, not the raccoon in the Forest Service publications for kids. I mean Ranger Richard Tscherne and his nine volume series, "The Ranger Rick Digest". Little 5" X 6" booklets and they are just jam packed with all kinds of highly useful tip and tricks. Field expedient just about anything you can think of, stuff you never though of (at least, stuff I never though of). Amusingly written. Straight to the point, with no BS. I highly recommend them.

Here's where they're at:

Here's Ranger Rick's site. Strangely enough these books aren't available there. He sends you to the link I put up above.
