Plenty of places to shoot around here. Blacks Creek Range or Impact Guns-if you don't mind paying to shoot, or acres of desert south of Boise for nothin. Impact Guns is on the north side of Executive Dr between Five Mile Rd. and Cloverdale (indoor range, don't know if membership is required). Blacks Creek Range is south east of Boise- to get there take Gowen Rd (just south of I84 off the Orchard exit) to Pleasant Valley Rd and turn south. Go to Kuna Rd (I think that is what it's called) which is the next major intersection past the State Pen and turn east. You'll go a ways from this point I don't recall exactly how far, but look for the sign at the turn off to the range which is on the north side of the road. The range is operated by the Ee-da-how Long Rifles muzzle loaders club and I think it's $7 per person to shoot now. If you'd rather shoot for free just keep heading out Pleasant Valley Rd past the MX track and RR tracks. My fav spot out there is east of Pleasant Valley Rd. Turn left under the high tension power lines and head east and look for a likely back stop. Welcome from another newbie!
