Just wanted to put a basic review of Mikes Knife Sharpening service here so everyone knows where to take they're knives from now on. Mike( fj40mojo) has shapened both kitchen and tactical blades for me now and the level of sharp is incredible. The edges are super clean and precise. Mike also supports the sport we all love and his personal approach to business, i.e. making it super easy and inexpensive, pick up and delivery are unequalled. I use my knives for things knives really aren't supposed to be used for,  I will continue to have them sharpened by Mike.

Hey Mike... don't want to put you out of business or anything, but how about a knife sharpening class.

I can do ok, but the I'd love a little instructional class on knife sharpening, maybe one of Jeff's monthly get togethers or a pizza night topic or something?

One of those life skills I'd love to get a little better at.

Might could do that.

Mike sharpens ALL of my knives . He has also fixed several with broken tips by re-profiling them . I usually have him sharpen several just before hunting season so I have a few razor sharp blades to take care of any game I may bring down . I also have had him take care of my kitchen knives so they don't frustrate me when I am trying to prepare something for dinner .

I need to take my kitchen knives to him for some sharpening... I think the wife would adore me if I did that.

It's my EDC knife that I want to keep razor sharp all the time, and as Nomad said, put a nice edge on a knife in the field... i know Mike wouldn't mind getting paid for me to stop by every morning and put the edge back on my EDC knife Wink but I'd rather save the gas for the trips to the range.  Grin

Well BK, like most things keeping that razor sharp edge comes down to maintenance. To start with though you have to get to that razor sharp edge, a task which most people have neither the patience nor the skill to do by manual means. I would be happy to put a great edge on your EDC and your kitchen knives and help you out with suggestions for equipment and techniques that will help you maintain those edges. As for gas to get to the range, Jeff can help you out there. Wink

Mike has been doing all my knives for several years and they are as always an excellent quality edge that you can shave with or remove a limb if you're not careful. I will not go anywhere else PERIOD. I got a couple new knives in the last month so I'll be paying Mike a visit again shortly.

If it was once sharp, Mike can make it sharp again.  This includes serrations, plain edges and probably axes and hatchets too.

Speaking of sharpening....I've got a few I need to drop off to you or the wife before I head out.  Cant leave with a dull blade!
