It would be so cool to have the woodworking skills that this guy has!  The canoe is watertight and looks relatively easy to maneuver.  Only tools used were a knife and axe.  Incredible.

He had a hand drill and a saw...

It is the one of the most beautiful things I have every see built.


The knowledge and experience to have such a feel for the way the various woods "work" in his hand is truly a skill to be admirered.

I found it to be humbling. This guy could live in the woods with very little in the way of modern tools.
