1 day USPSA/IDPA pistol class
« on: May 10, 2010, 08:12:20 PM »
Due to requests from some students from the 3 gun class, I'm going to put on a one day pistol class.  I am tentatively going to do it at Emmett, but am still waiting approval from the board.  Shouldn't be a problem though.

It will be June 19th from 08:00 to 17:30.  This class will be focused on USPSA and IDPA pistol shooting.  I will not be teaching tactics, and I won't be teaching you how to protect your home.  I will be teaching you how to win USPSA and IDPA matches!  We'll be covering everything from the basics like grip/stance to much more advanced skills such as box transitions and shooting on the move.

We'll probably shoot between 500 and 750 rounds.  It will be a very busy day so bring your note pad and be ready for a long day.  I'll only be taking five students and right now and one of those spots is filled.  Price is going to be $100.  If you are interested, PM me or send me an e mail at travis@mgmtargets.com

ETA - Down to three spots.

Adios,
TG

OK everyone!  HUGE MISTAKE ON MY PART!!  I have no idea what I was thinking but I am not going to be able to do this class this weekend.  I got June and July mixed up on my calender.  It is supposed to be July 10.  I aplologize for the mistake here.  If you saw the calender I am looking at, it would make perfect sense.  Please contact me if you were signed up for this class so I can get something done to compensate you for your inconvenience.  I apologize again.
Adios,
TG

Got still have three spots left for this class, but I'm sending this e mail out to all the rest of my contacts as soon as I get done here so I think it will end up being filled up.
I just got back from the Area 1 USPSA match in Idaho Falls where I finished 6th overall.  Of the five guys that beat me, none of them were from Alaska, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, or Montana, so I'm the new Area 1 Limited Champion.  I'd say everybody get's lucky every now and again, but I was able to keep it togther for 11 stages so I don't think it was all luck.
I also got to shoot with Max Michel and which reinforced a lot of my theorys on how stages should be shot.  I now feel totally confident passing this information on to anyone who wants to hear it.  Let me know if you are interested.  Thanks.
