Southern Idaho Precision Riflemen shoot May 1-2
« on: March 24, 2010, 01:30:33 PM »
FYI,

clip...
The first match for the Southern Idaho Precision Riflemen will be held in Bellevue Idaho May 1-2. This will be an all steel UKD match under field conditions. We cant charge an enty fee as we shoot on BLM land but we do accept donations for target up keep.I have set up an email for questions at southernidahoprecisionriflemen@gmail.com or you can contact me with PM's here.
We wanted to get a firm date set so people can make plans. I will get more details up soon but we will shoot that weekend.
Thanks Tucker

Round Count will be 90 rounds per day for the rifle and then as many as you want for the pistol and carbine. Be sure you have eye protection for the pisol and carbine course its the nature of the beast when dealing with close steel and jacketed bullets.
There will also be a community gas grill to use. You can camp at the match site or you can stay in town, Ketchum and Sun Valley are not to far away.
Tucker

Anyone interested in this?

Sounds sorta like a Parma match, except they can get out to 1400 yards.

I can't shoot this one,  but looks like a good UKD event.

If you do shoot it post an AAR.

Thinking seriously about going.

Wind can be wicked from the triangle south through picabo butte. I can remember the wind almost blowing us off of the butte. Depending on the location, lots of steep country.

Should be fun.

If you plan to shoot this get ahold of Jay or Tucker, they are trying to get a head count.

If you go, post an AAR if you can,  I'm sure the Boise locals will clean up if any of them can make the event.

That kinda sucks.
May 1 may have been a bit early for that part of the state.

It's a shame they had to cancel.

It would be great if the new date is late enough to shoot in the hills outside of Bellevue. That would be a challenging area.

Hopefully I'll be done painting the cabin when the next date arrives.  :'(
