Here's a pic of the very affordable and well executed color match DuraCoat paint jobs done by Technique, more to follow when I get my Rem 870 back from him in the near future with a full review.

EOTech bridge color matched to Magpul Foliage Green furniture.

FDE is an exact match to OEM.
E-mags only come in black and MP said they won't be out in other colors. Here is a E-mag I painted FDE next to a MIAD that is stock.

I have all the MP colors, I'll even have UDE later this week.

Trying to drum up some business for a fellow BS'r. Unemployed and scratchin, of anybody I'd think that you'd understand. Oh, and I wouldn't say "pretty" more like handsome. At least it's not pink!

I am just busting your chops bro . Looks good and everything in your garage doesn't have a light dusting of Green (or pink like mine) on it .

I have been considering painting my rifle a bit. My question is does the paint on the collapsible  stock mare at all when the stock is adjusted?

thanks

Nice work!

A bit off topic but does Duracoating a firearm de-value it? It seems to depend on who you ask, the buyer or the seller. Sellers say it does not or increases value while I have heard from people looking to buy that is the opposite? I have a couple of tactical shottys that I would not mind having a colored duracoat finish done to.

Triple T,

I would say on collectible stuff, any type of refinishing depreciates the value. On stuff like Shotguns, ARs, dime a dozen handguns....no, not really. If you have a guy that wants a 870 but tries to haggle you because your 870 is FDE...he's just haggling. He can go get a black 870 from Walmart. I'd say it increases the value on your everyday guns....I've seen an AR "professionally painted with Duracoat, it was a Multicam pattern...Know who much it cost to have that done? The price of the paint job was in excess of $800....No joke.
There is no way a $900 gun plus $800 worth of paint depreciates the value.

...unless it's Krylon or something Tongue

Grumblecakes,

Like any finish out there wear areas will wear, nothing is "super paint".
If you look at anodizing, it scrapes and wears, those same areas will eventually wear if you paint them with any finish.
Same with parkerizing, an AK safety (unbent) will always scrape the side of the receiver, Parkerizing, paint, whatever...it will always happen.

So if you plastic shows wear from adjustments, the paint will eventually show wear there too...

This is another rifle technique has painted, him and I worked out the pattern and he blasted away with Duracoat. I'm happy with the end result. If your thinking about painting a rifle I highly recommend technique's work, This rifle was painted before with krylon, but that doesn't compare to this paint job. A few pics while it's still fresh before I destroy it...
