If you post an event please spend the extra minute to link it to the calendar.  How do you do that?  After you finish the post, return to it, click the "Link to Calendar" button towards the lower right, and then add the calendar info.

Or, go into the Calendar and the clink on the "Post an Event."  Make sure to select the Events forum in the "Post In" drop down box.

why does every 3 gun match on the calendar goto the thread about sep 17th match?Should I just watch the events threads for upcoming stuff and just forget the calendar?
