Hello Shooters

Sorry for the late reply.  Was lurking trying to find shooting spots and then had eye surgery that took me out of commission for awhile.  I've been away from shooting for 25 years living in communist enclaves New York and California for work.  Moved to Boise 13 years ago with my Boise native wife to start a family which kept (keeps) me busy.  Took up shooting again in the last year or so to get some occasional "man" time.  As an older guy, my favorite handguns are Hi-powers and 1911's of which I have a few.  Recently I have been coming around to the Glock.  I reload for 9mm and 45 acp.

Welcome, grab a cup and enjoy your time here.
Our stories sound much the same. I only wish I had kept all the guns of my youth, but I am enjoying all my new toys. I always thought that when I got back into shooting I would buy all brand new guns. But I now find out that all I want are the old guns I see. I did buy the Springfield XDM new for my personal carry weapon, but my home defence gun is a Ruger PC 4, and I have been tracking down custom rifles made by an old neighbor of mine Dale Storey out of Casper Wyo. Something about the beauty of wood and steel keeps me wanting more.
