Look like fun... however, he needs to wear some protective eyewear.  :o

A .458 Lott that is hardly recoiling at all? In a handgun? With that tiny muzzle break? Sorry- dont think so.

I have a .458 Win Mag in a 10 lb rifle and it kicks the crap out of me with factory loads!

I've installed several of these brakes and they do a great job of reducing recoil.
I’ve also talked to Ross several times and I can tell you that you won’t find a more honest and humble guy.

Maybe you should try one of these two ideas before you call bull shit!

I'm sticking to my guns here. And I am well familiar with muzzle breaks. I have them on guns too. But for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. That will never change. If that rifle is shooting a 500 grain bullet at 2000fps or so and hardly even moving then I will say I would have to see it with my own eyes.

So are you basing your opinion on Ross’s muzzle brake from your opinion on a different muzzle brake you have on a different riffle or are you saying all brakes are the same?

Lets be fair to Ross and assume when he told us that he is shooting a .458 Lott Pistol with a 300 grain bullet and 91 grains of H-322, that is what he was shot and the video was showing the results.

Who am I to call either one of you a liar?   Just saying.

Well, OK. I did not have the sound on the 1st time that I watched this. I did not know that the bullet was that light.

So therefore I will have to say that maybe so then. It is a pretty good size gun and that muzzle brake may just be a lot more that it appears. Good looking rig.

Apologies to anyone that I might have offended.    :)

The pistol is 13 pounds the stock is a 40X bench stock and the barrel is 1.250 straight. I think when you video muzzle brake tests they do not show the recoil as much as you feel it. This pistol has stout recoil with 300 and 500 grain bullets. From all the muzzle brake tests I have done I think the 458 Lott is my pain threshold. I have videos on utube shooting a 284---358 STA---375 JRS---338 EDGE---416 rem mag and the 458 Lott. I used the same stock and action for these tests. I have 8 barrels that are chambered for this action and it gives me a good test platform. They all kick. My favorite caliber to shoot is a 6br and cases with similar powder capacity. These big boomers are just for fun and make the winter a little easier to deal with. Ross

Ross's muzzle brakes work like a champ, turned my 308 into a ....223, not even. well made and also in use by local law enforcement cause RK Gunsmithing uses them , installs them and stands by them, great work Ross, thanks. ;)

I have shot a .308 with one of these brakes installed and concur with Popsgunner on the recoil reduction . Spotting your hits at 100 Yards was pretty darn easy even with a light hold on the rifle .
