3 gun matches
« on: January 05, 2010, 08:35:52 PM »
Here are the dates for the quarterly 3 gun matches.  Don't know for sure yet, but I'm almost positive they will be in Parma.  They have a great range and we'll be able to shoot longer ranges there than at any of the other clubs.
Start times will be as follows for the Jan and Oct matches:
Set up at 08:00
Sign up at 09:45
Shooting at 10:00
Start times for May and July will be as follows:
Set up at 07:00
Sign up at 08:45
Shooting at 09:00

I'm trying to keep the entry fee at $10 but I'll have to see what the club is going to charge me.
Four stages-probably need 100 rounds for each gun.  Course descriptions will be given at a later date.
Here are the dates:
Jan 30
May 29-I might be out of town for this one, but don't know for sure yet
July 31
Oct 30

There...that should give you plenty of time to find a babysitter

Let me know if you have any questions.
Adios,
TG

This is just a bump for this match.  I want to stress that this is going to be a fun match and new shooters should come out and play.  Don't worry about what gear you have.  Bring a rifle, pistol/holster, and shotgun, and we'll get you squared away.  I cleared it with Parma, and first time three gunners are going to be able to shoot this match for free!!!  That's right!!  Free!!  Now you don't have an excuse not to come out.
It will only be about 75 rounds for each gun and no slugs or buckshot.  I shot a match in Las Vegas this weekend and got some great ideas that I think are really going to speed things up and make sure everyone has a great time.  Tell all of your friends and come on out!!
Adios,
TG

I might be able to go. What time would you expect it to be finished?

I think we are going to have a lot of people, but the stages should go pretty quick.  I'd say it MIGHT be as late as 3:00, but could be as early as 1:00.

Won't need a sling at all, and a thigh rig will work fine.

We are going to be shooting from the covered firing line for the long range stage, the new pistol pits which have a fairly elaborate drainage system, the bay just to the right of the pit we shot the NYD match in, and the the bay we shot the NYD match in.
I'm going to do my best to keep us out of the mud...more importantly, I am going to do my best to keep our gear out of the mud!!  I think we'll be in good shape.
