Sturgen fishin'
« on: January 05, 2010, 07:17:36 PM »
Caught these two in the Snake last August.
The week before I took my dad (77 years young)on his first sturgen trip, I set the hook on one then handed the pole to him (he's the one with the bent rod) fought it for 2 hrs then said he'd had enough.
I fought it for 1 hr and 40 min it got down in the rocks and cut the line :o
We had the fish up on top 4 times in 3hrs and 40 min it was 10'+
Really wanted to get a picture of that one.

I'm pretty proud of my wife... she pulled in a seven-footer in Hell's Canyon in September.  I'll see if I can round up a pic or two.

Thanks all, The pic with my dad was just below CJ Strike dam the other two were in a secret spot  :-X (a local told me never to tell anyone) of the location.
If I can catch 2 in a day I'm DONE. :hail:
