Just a little forky here.  The black gun dropped him in his tracks, however.

Alright!, you used an AR.  How about a full shakedown of:
gun,
load,
range,
wound data

RRA 20" Varmint
Federal 60 gr Nosler Partition
~200 yards, full broadside, running uphill left-to-right.
One tiny hole in between ribs, nickel-sized hole through both lungs, and two, almost three, holes and 4 broken ribs on the way out.  High lung shot.  The exit was just below the spine...above my gas block in the pic.  Not a lot of external blood.  Lots of blood in the lung cavity.  I'm guessing the bullet fragged when it hit rib on exit.  He probably dropped in his tracks from the trauma having 4 ribs separated from his spine.

My daughter got her doe her first year hunting (Thanks to Farlo and his brother for all the scouting) on a Friday evening.

You forgot the part about the doe's brain being completely removed and spread across a 6 ft arc on the side of the hill.  That was one hell of a shot!

My daughter said thanks for the compliment. I used the Ultimate Sniper by John Plaster to help her develop her shooting form. She said long range shooting and shotguns are next.  ;D

Wife shot her 1st buck this year @ 6 mo pregnant no less.  A respectable 3x3/ 2 1/2 yr old with Rem Mod 7, 7mm-08, 160 grn Nos Part, off hand. I think we counted 4 bounds before he tipped over.  Hard to go very far with only half your heart/lung tissue still intact.  I shot a little forky later that afternoon.  Happiness is a full freezer!
