This is our chuck load for a 1/10 - 24" barreled AR
.223 with the 36 gr Barnes Varmint Grenade at 4000 fps

Trajectory
Range    Drop
(yd)    (in)    (MOA)
25    -2    -6
50    -1    -1
100    0    0
200    -0    -0
300    -6    -2
350    -11    -3
400    -20    -5
450    -32    -7
500    -48    -9
525    -59    -11
550    -71    -12
575    -85    -14
600    -101    -16

Shoot me a PM if you would like to try a few of these in your 1/12 - 22" and shoot over the chronograph or get the powder and charge weight. FYI; this is a bit over max load and anyone looking for this speed with this bullet and this cartridge should use all the normal reloading caution for a max load.[attachment=1]

Have used 55gr on chucks and like the Vmax and the Nosler Blistic tip have a exit piece
leaving the shot animal not real keen on that so stayed with the Vmax........

This is a calculator for twist rate and it shows your 1 in 12 twist just at the low side but still workable with the Barnes.
