Dish Washer recipe to use instead of Cascade.

Mix equal measures of Borax and Washing Soda.
Only use 1 teaspoon per load of dishes. 

I haven't tried it but I hear it works great.

I do like the idea of using white vinegar for the rinse agent.  If, for no other reason, it should help reduce the hard water deposits in dish washer and on the contents.  Wink

That's the setup we've been using and it works well.  One note of caution though.  JR posted in the washing machine soap thread that borax can make you sick if the residue does not rinse completely.  We haven't had any issue with that so far, but just passing along the warning.
