Topic: Ulyanovsk 7.62x39

Has anyone had any experience with this ammo? White box with sparse dark grey lettering. The cartridges don't appear to be sealed. Plenty on the shelves at Cabela's right now. $5/box. Opinions?

It shoots fine.  The batch I shot was kind of dirty.  You can find better prices if you order a whole case.

Just picked up 12 boxes, pretty hard to resist at $4.49 a box plus I used a Cabelas $10 off coupon that came in the mail Monday.

Looks good, haven't tried it yet. My WASR isn't fussy and loves steel case surplus so I figure it'll be fine.

Shot 2 boxes through my modded SKS this weekend.  Couldn't tell the difference between it and Wolf.

Now $4.50 a box at Cabela's. Not many deals better than that right now.

It's been that price for over a week now. Pretty decent ammo too.

I was just joking about not stocking up Ulyanovsk but terrible that the plant blew up.

Cabelas has had a sale on the Ulyanovsk 7.62x39 at $4.49 a box that ends today. Wasn't planning to get any more but then got two $10 off coupons in the mail today. Was going to Best Buy anyway so picked up 25 more boxes, using two coupons which brought it down to about 500rds for $100 out the door. Besides, my WASR loves the stuff...

I know this is last minute but thought I'd post this just in case anyone's headed over there tonight and has the coupons.
