Okay, where to start? At this point I'm into the "tacticool" stuff. Having enough ARs I didn't need one in .22
and my GSG5 kinda just felt like a toy. In search of another cool, unique kinda .22 that was up my alley and wasn't cheap
in feel I decided to look into Ruger 10/22 conversion type kits..
I found the "10/22 fun gun" (you can see the pics of mine in the post your toys section)
Here is the website:
http://www.1022fungun.com/store/pc/home.aspI have had this for a while now, about 6-7 months and I have used it for plinking, its best use is, well, the same thing you would use a standard 10/22 for ~FUN/Zombies...This is my first review of it. Its a 5 outta 5.
I actually made the trip (6 hour drive) from the Ca. Bay Area to LA to check these out and picked up a few kits. (owner/designer is one cool guy)
He had on hand more than 100 units to choose from. Each kit was equal in quality...all the wood for each kit was equally amazing!
At the time, he had the Chicago style, and Squad Leader...(I got a little preview of the pistol style while it was in development)
A buddy of mine and I got a few of each kit available.
Kits range in cost from $250-$320 depending
A few points (Pros)
~it feels like a Tommy
~the wood is excellent
~the metal add ons are CNCed and are a perfect fit
~the weight of the gun is what I was looking for ~ no toy feel here!
~made in the USA
~you can still mount a scope or sight on it.
Cons~ None
The kit is just great!!! Not much more I can say about it.
I asked for some photos from the owner and he sent me some to post...(my camera fu is no good

)
here is mine here on the right...

If you get the chance or the funds...get one. Awesome addition to any collection, Real Tommys are expensive!

Enjoy!
