Thanks for the wonderfully proactive greeting/welcome!

My name is Ed, 53 years old, married, three sons and I moved to Meridian in April of this year. Previously I lived in Europe (Ukraine where I was teaching business at a local university and owned a small business) for three years and have lived in WA, CA, CO, TN, GA and FL with some short-time stints in LA, TX and AL. ID seemed like a good place to start prepping the retirement nest although I hope to continue working another 15+ years before being truly "retired".

I CC occasionally but lately have had a preference for OC'ing. My regular carry is a CZ-40, although I have a S&W M&P .40, Sig P-230 and a Bersa .380 as alternatives. Just acquired a CZ-75 P06 day before yesterday for the wife in anticipation of getting her CWP someday and the son just picked up his ID CWP yesterday.

So far I have discovered Black Creek Range, Ponderosa (Horseshoe Bend), Impact Guns, Cabella's and Sportsmen's Warehouse.

Other than that, not sure what else people would want to know about me.

Oh, BTW, I'm a fairly solid, right-wing Republican but I'm not into the conspiracy theories or insurrection, just the occasional tea-party invitation would be nice and I've never seen a cup of coffee or a political/social discussion I didn't like. Love getting together for a coffee and BS session. At the end though, I'm expecting to walk away smiling.

Welcome Ed!  I recognize the handle from OCDO.  Great group here and discussion on all kinds of topics.  Read what you like, ignore what you don't, and contribute where you can  ;)  Check out the event calendar as well.  There are pizza nights regularly scheduled in the Boise and Caldwell areas.

I believe there is one in Boise on Thursdays and one in Nampa on Sundays. You can check the calendar here or the events section.

OK, I'll drift by there tonight then.

Maybe next month I'll try for IDPA orientation but coffee and snacks sound good for tonight.

TY for the Calendar link Jeff.

Welcome ecocks.

I spent a couple months in Kiev back in 95, had way to much fun when everything was still semi cheap over there. one of my best trips.
