Pachmayr tactical pistol grips
« on: September 30, 2009, 09:37:27 PM »
Got mine today for my XDm. I like the custom fit better then the hogue pistol grips but the material they are made out of didn't impress me. If I had to do it again I would rather have hogues. I have not shot the pistol with it on yet but once I do I will update this thread. Here is a link to them.

Kinda stupid and simple but....Cut up an old bike tire inner tube, you can custom cut it and it usally fits and stays pretty well, justa thought. I have one at the shop if you don't.

Really not stupid at all. That is what I had on it originally , just thought on how pretty the XDm was some nice grips would look cool. Freaking waste of $20 is all it was.

Ok I took popsgunner's idea and put tire inner tube on the grips then put the pachmayr tactical grips over the tire tube. This seems to have taken care of the slipping problem. I haven't shot it this way but I pushed on the grips everyway I could think of and no slippage what so ever. I crossed out my pachmayr bashing until I shoot the pistol again. The reason for the grips is so it feels more like my glock with hogue grips on it.

I will let you all know how this way works out. :)

Ok had no problem with the grip shooting. Using the tire tube under the grip helped it stay in place. I actually really like this grip now. Makes it feel like my glock with the hogue grip on. I would say get one if you want one. Works good and gives the XDm finger grooves if you like that. :)
