Found a great deal online for those that need fuel storage:

http://www.deutscheoptik.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=3&products_id=1030

* These have the diesel fuel cap gasket. Gasoline will destroy these gaskets. If you want to store gasoline in these cans (like me). Be sure to also purchase additional gaskets:

These are exactly like the "pre-ban" Wedco cans. Now that the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has reared their ugly head into other states, the pre-CARB cans are pretty much impossible to find.

These have the vented spout. The only thing missing seems to be the cross-pin to lock the cap down. I'm trying to find a local source for them.

Mine were delivered today and they appear to be in new/like new condition and have never held fuel. I'm going to grab a can of red Krylon and repaint the caps to signify gas instead of yellow for diesel.

Those look nice.  Since I can't get the military fuel jugs anymore I should get some of these.  Thanks.

Drop a line if you find any pins. I have looked at HD and didn't find anything. These are nice cans. I didn't know about the gas eating up the gaskets.

Yeah, there is one type of gasket for use with Water or Diesel but the gas will deteriorate them. They are a pinkish/red color gasket. Then there is the black gasket for use with gas.

You can get the black gaskets at D&B for about a dollar.
Being in the military vehicle and collectable hobby, I have gathered about 50 various cans.  There is a whole separate faction of the military vehicle group that concentrates on cans. There are a few different ways to tell if the can is military or civilian.  I am always interested in a can, provided it is in relatively good condition. (Some cans are worth stupid big money!)  Some can go for as little as a $5.00, and up to a hundred bucks.  Certain dates and variations can get quite spendy, even when in lousy condition.
Four for $117 shipped isn't too bad, if they are real military cans, and not civilian. You can buy locally civilian cans for about $15-20 each.
The fuel doesn't care if it is being stored in a real or civilian can, if simply storing fuel.  I think I have a few extra DD's (you military guys will know what those are) , if anyone needs one (and there are issued and civilian models of those as well).

Don't waste your money. I got three of these today. Price ended up at $15.00 ea delivered. They are cheap Taiwan knockoffs. Would have been nice if they bothered to at least list "Imported" in the description or something. These things aren't worth the bubble wrap they were shipped in.
