22 lr conversion.

Has anybody heard or used these before?

Just kind of curious what the difference between buying this or buying a whole upper would be. ???

Haven't used one but have read in various AR forums that 22lr conversion units generally work pretty well. And accuracy is pretty good if your barrel has a 1:9 or slower twist, maybe 2 MOA. In a 1:7 barrel the tiny bullet just doesn't do so well and there are reports of 4-5 MOA.

Very tempting addition I'd say. I hope someone here has first hand experience.

Sure.  It's just a copy of the Ceiner.  The Tactical Solutions is a copy too but the have made changes that supposedly improve the reliability.  The last outing with mine was basically 100%.  I need to get out and shoot a couple of more bricks.  If I could find them (and afford them).

A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

Spikes ae the best of the new conversions, mags are made in Middleton. O rings keep the kit and gun cleaner and function better, springs are upgraded and come with an extra.
Ar bbls are ok for accuracy but complete top ends have a 1-16 twist rate the same as noraml 10-22 rifles and the like.

Do you have one?  I'd like to compare one to the Tactical Solutions version.

I have one of the CMMG 22 conversions. Maybe plan a comparison day?
All data is flawed, some just less so.

Definitely interested in results if I cant make it out to see. I have been holding off buying one until I could learn more about the different ones.

Most reports and reviews I have read on Spike's Tactical have been favorable and they seem to have the best reviews out of all of the .22 conversions.  Currently, we have a few of the CMMG conversions for our rifles out at the prison and they have all worked reliably.  YMMV.
Due to the actions of the offender...

I'm a fan of the full upper conversions which makes cleaning a bit easier.  The drop in conversions can sometimes leave gunk at the chamber to barrel junction and can gum up the barrel gas port if your not careful.

Unlike some I've had good luck with my Tactical Solutions upper.  Once I replaced a bad mag and found the right ammo it's 100%.
