okay, okay. Figure I better respond with this group. I figured the handle would raise some eyebrows! LOL! Unfortunately, my uncle passed away September 11, 2001. He was in Tower 2, 88th floor. Long story short, I bought my government's version of 9/11, hook, line, and sinker, for awhile, at least... Received a degree in Political Science four years later (BTW- if there's any science in politics, I have yet to find it). At this point, I had my mind opened a tad bit', the usual goods - CIA selling dope in the country, our government supporting bin laden, etc... Unfortunately, folks label these line of facts as liberal, and therefore dismiss them, a priori, without any statement of fact indicative to the contrary. I am not "liberal," nor am I "conservative." I love my country, I am not a huge fan of my government.

On that note, a little bit about me, I live in Boise, have a beautiful wife, and a baby girl. I serve my community in hopes to improve my fellow citizen's outlook on said community. I love my guns. Boy, do I love them. I'm sure you folks can relate. Steadily increasing the collection every so often (as much as the Mrs. will allow me, at least). I hope to engage in meaningful discussions. Learn new things from my fellow shooters and impart some non-sensical wisdom on them as well. Would love to take you up on that pizza and range, sir or ma'am. Do say when. Thank you all for your time.

I don't dismiss the 911 conspiracy people as liberal, I dismiss them 'cause they have shit for brains.

Much appreciated. Though my capacity to enjoy this site, much less any other activity, is difficult, due to the corn kernels from the shit in my brains interrupting the serotonin uptake! ZING!

Sorry to hear about your uncle. You'll find that there are varying opinions here. And most of us aren't shy about them. And it's unlikely anyone will change their mind.

Thanks. I am rather certain there are a multitude of opinions here. That's great. Let it be known I'm not here to change anyone's mind. Just enjoy discussion. Though I could do without the "the (sic) have shit for brains" remarks. I won't criticize anyone for their opinions. I would care for that same respect. Again, thanks.

Um wow that was kind of uncalled for. I disagree with most of the conspiracy theories but you guys boast friendly environment then come out with a statement like that.

I think people here are just tired of being told that if they don't go along with the 911 being an inside job that we "haven't opened our minds", "haven't done the proper research", "bought into the government lie", " Are blind followers of the media", "don't understand the technology and science" basically calling anyone who doesn't go along as having "shit for brains".

So while this guy is new, the conversation has been going on long before his arrival, and we all have been insulted numerous times for not agreeing with the idea. I suspect as long as he isn't here to start the discussion all over again about this subject and he doesn't start insulting everyone who doesn't buy into his this idea. He will get along just fine.

I apologize for you being insulted. That is absolutely ridiculous (not a good way to make friends either). We can agree to disagree on all things politik, but since we are on "Boiseshooters.com," I'm sure we can agree on a joy of shooting. On that note, I recently picked up an AK-47 from ZIdaho.com. It is the WASR-10 made by CIA, so I was aware of the canted gas block issue when I bought it, and looked this thing over rigorously before I bought it. I could not see an issue with it, so I made the purchase. In fact, I had to make the damn purchase because this guy was selling it for 300.00! I figured even if it needed a new barrel, bolt, piston, stock, gas block, etc...it would be a decent price. Guy said he "barely put 100 rounds through it," so I figure he put close to a thousand. Anyhow, I took it to Blacks Creek and unleashed a veritable gauntlet of assorted lead toward the dirt mound and was surprised at the accuracy and absolute fun of this gun. A buddy of mine has a Tantal 5.45x39, which was the first time I had shot from an AK platform, and that was a great time. I am almost afraid to say this, but I think I enjoyed it a little more than my AR. Have any of you folks enjoyed shooting an AK this much?

No such thing here unless you are a proponent of gun control beyond the use of both hands. Every type of shooter here from sliver slingers to muzzle loaders to tacticool mattel hicap plastic guns. Far as I've seen all are welcome, bring a grain or two of salt and thick skin. We are all men here, well not all, but you get the idea. Welcome and hope to stand beside you at the range sometime.

Shhhhhh don't tell anyone but I would rather shoot an AK or SkS any day over an AR. Ah hell tell everyone. Its my life right?
