Why the .458 SOCOM.  Other than it's badass.

Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

Cool! A SOCOM fan. I like this site already. My personal fav is the 325gr. Hornady Evolution.

Poor pic I know.

After a long and arduous time researching which of the big 3 would be a good choice I was sold on the SOCOM.

Now if I can just find one for sale for a good price.  I know the uppers are available on gunbroker, just looking for one of those fire sale deals.  :D

Jeff you'll have to share your reloading info for this round if you don't mind.

I have a shit ton of Rem 300gr JHP and 405gr LSP.  The 300's kick ass.  I've loaded them with 27-34gr LilGun.  The 405's are OK but I prefer the 300's.

LilGun is the way to go IMO.

I do have a couple hundred 325gr FTX's and expect great things from them.  I just haven't loaded any so I can't provide any real feedback.

Make sure you order your brass early.  It may take a while to get.  Get plenty (I have over 1k).  ;)

Yeah I was thinking that very thing, who are you getting your brass through?  Are you loading with a Dillion or single stage press?
