MGM Switchview Lever
«
on:
August 26, 2009, 09:46:37 PM »
In an effort to follow Jeffs rules and due to my lack of creativity, I have cut and pasted from the rules section for my review. Here you go
Item being reviewed
: MGM Switchview lever
Description of item
: This is a lever to quickly and easily adjust the power setting on your scope. Right now I have them for Leupolds, and I think they'll fit all of the Mark IV's. I should have models done for the Nightforce and Burris by the beginning of next week.
I hope to have to have models for S&B, Millet, Meopta, Trijicon, and some of the other "high speed low drag" scopes eventually. The levers in the pictures are silver which makes it stand out a little more for photos, but I am going to have them anodized flat black to make them a little more "tacticool"
[attachment=1] More pictures to follow.
Description of review tests
: I tested this just like I test every other new piece of kit I get. Put it on and take it to a match. If I don't break it, or notice that it really sucked, I give it a passing grade. If I notice that I like it, and it works well, I try to figure out how well I liked it.
Pros
: It is way easier and way faster than trying to get your fingers on the adjustment ring. Every now and again, I'll start a stage with my scope on 3 power, but most of the time, the scope is either on 1.5 or 5, so it makes it easy to use.
As far as using it on the big scope goes, it works great for spotting for a target and then being able to zoom in on it and makeing the shot
Cons
: It hangs up a little when taking it in and out fo the bag but no more than your bolt.
Best Uses
: This works the best on the CQB type scopes, but I REALLY like it for the sniper rig too.
Duration Used
: I have had one of these for the last year or two and this thing is the way to go. A couple of other good shooters have used it and told me they liked it really well too.
Where purchased
: Get in touch with me if you want one of these. I need a couple of the other scopes to get prototypes made, and the deal I'll make with you is if you loan me your scope, I'll give you the prototype for free.
Cost
: Here is the good part. If you go to buy one of these rignt now, the cheapest you'll find them is $70. We'll be selling these for $59.95
Rating: (1 through 5, 5 being best)
It's a five of course...It's from MGM! Would you expct anything less!?!?
Adios,
TG

I like the idea of the fast zoom in and out and would like to try one on a varmint gun.
Will your current setup work on any of these scopes or do you need one to check?
Night Force 5.5-22X56
Leupold VX-III 6.5-20X50

I don't know if any of our current models will fit any of those scopes or not. I should have the Nightforce model on Monday along with about 30 of the Luepolds. If you want to get together and test drive one, I'd be happy to bring some. Maybe I could make it out for pizza sometime.

Thanks for the offer!! Any time that is good for you is good for me. If you wanted to meet someplace, I'd be happy to do that as well. I'll be in Parma all day Saturday and Emmett on Sunday for the 3 gun.

I have a prototype on my Burris 3-12 mounted on an AR15 upper. I'll bring it to pizza so you guys can really check the lever out. IMO, this is a great little add on. My Burris is hard to adjust and for hunting this will really help since I should be able to keep my eye on the target while zooming in. That something I really struggled with.
BTW, watch out for an upcoming announcement in the Sawtooth Tactical forum about these.

Quick update on the levers. (Jeff if I need to move this, let me know).
I have prototypes for IOR Valdada Pit Bull 1-4 and 1.5-8. The other good thing I have going is we also have a prototype for a lever that will fit both the VXII and VXIII. I'm going to get with Jmack tomorrow and see how close we are go fitting the Muller scopes as well. I'll have more pictures in the next day or two.
If you are interested in these, as soon as I have some in production, I'd be happy to let you take one for a "test drive" before you decided to buy it. BTW, Popsgunner is carrying them down at RK too.
