I like the TacSol one, and I've shot one at the range, complete with the muzzle attachment. ;-) They are nice.
For me, I was specifically looking for a way to practice my sport shooting, and since I don't use said muzzle device or optics the Kimber fit the bill, I might swap out the front sight for a FO, but other than that it's a great match.
I went out south of town tonight and dropped another 250 rounds through it, that's 500 rounds in 2 days and no failures. My only issue is the slide doesn't lock back, but I knew that going in.
However I find myself with the same problems and now I can work on fixing it, trigger freeze when I get to shooting fast splits. Since the trigger is exactly the same so once I ingrain the fix with the .22 it will be fixed with the .45 as well. I also spent some time working on weak hand shooting... much easier to get the muscle memory and mechanics of weak hand shooting ingrained with a 22.
My only problem now is I see myself burning up 10,000 round of 22 in about a 2 weeks at this rate if I'm not careful.
Addictive little thing, I tell you.

Try it RG, and you'll be buying one
