congrats on your new firearm.

re:pictures - a couple of ways:
1) upload pics to a free picture server such as photobucket.com then grab the url link and paste it in your posting using the img icon from the tool bar
2) use the attachment feature located under the "Additional Options..." link located directly below left from the typing box when creating your post. The attachment needs to be smaller than one meg. If your pic is too big you can resize it using some photo programs or you can find free photo resizers on the internet...

Welcome to the world of real guns  ;D

Come on out to Parma or Impact and try your hand at IDPA, great way to break in a 1911.   :headbang:

Advantages: Time tested and perfected design.  Reliable depending on the manufacturer.  Can be used as a club when out of ammo.  Plus when pressed up against someones head it makes a cool mark.  Draw backs: only one I see is the low ammo count but arent some coming double stacked now?

Para Ordnance & STI.  Only disadvantage I see to these is cost of genuine hi-cap mags.  Hurts, but you gotta buy 'em.

Well, if you buy what the little bullet/tupperware guys are selling; "it's all about shot placement."

 ;D

No Iam not buying it.  Shot placement is usually out the window when the fit hits the shan and the adrenaline is pumping.  Happens every time.

Other advantages: Lots of aftermarket support in spare parts, mags and accessories. With competition between makers of all those things prices are pretty reasonable.

Disadvantages: There's enough makers that all of your parts may not play well with other makers.
All data is flawed, some just less so.
