Autobody recommendation
« on: May 18, 2009, 07:47:25 PM »
I need to get some work done on my car. Does anybody have a recommendation for a place that does good work for a fair price?

My wife used to deliver parts to all the autobody shops in the valley. It is generally accepted that in the Caldwell/Nampa area Uria on 2nd Street at about 8th (I think) is tied with  Garrity Auto Body (on Garrity).
That's for body work. As far as turning wrenches......toss of the coin.

Collision repair.  I'm in west Boise so something around here would be better if possible.

I'm in West Boise also.  I've had good luck with Capitol Auto Body for the  3 times I've been there.  Here's their contact info:

5373 Emerald St
Boise, ID 83706
(208) 376-0141

Hope this helps.

Any of the bigger shops should treat you right petersons or litha both have shops. The only one I would stay away from is icr/kadels I've heard that they push too many cars in and out. If you have any questions let me know I might be able to give you some tips. Is it going through an inaureance company and if so which one.

Thanks for all the recommendations.  I'll get a few quotes and see what they come up with.

Remember if you are dealing with an insurance company you only have to get one estimate and you can take it any where you want they cant tell you where to go, they maay tell you they wont cover the other shops work but most shops will cover there own work.
