Can we get these anywhere that sells hunting licenses or do we need to go to F&G?

BTW, I looked on the IF&G web site and didn't see anything posted.

Should be able to purchase them anywhere that has a POSSUM.

Here are the quotas (or should that be "quotii"?) for the several Zones.

L.W.

Numbers have been set at 220. Fish and Game figures to make some money as they think they will sell 70,000 tags at $11.75 each and go on sale Monday. Here is the numbers by zone.

WOLF ZONE LIMITS
Idaho intends to manage wolf populations in 12 different zones. Each zone has its own harvest limit. When a zone limit is met, wolf hunting will stop in that zone. When the statewide harvest limit of 220 is met, all wolf hunting will stop.

Panhandle30

Palouse-Hells Canyon5

Lolo 27

Dworshak-Elk City 31

Selway17

Middle Fork17

Salmon16

McCall-Weiser15

Sawtooth55

Southern Mountains10

Upper Snake5

South Idaho5

Well, that's a rip off.  They should do a draw hunt and that way only the people that are drawn pay.  They expect to get $800k off sales and only let the first 220 (paid $2585) score.

Maybe they should sell 500 tags and stop there.

No different than when they "open" Salmon season, close it a couple weeks later and they knew all along that there are very few fish coming across the dam.

Maybe they can use the 800K to help pay for legal fees fighting the environazis that want to keep the wolf on the endangered list even though they aren't the same as what we originally had ?

Just sayin ?

more than likely they will use it for their self-entitlement programs, fatter pay checks, pensions, medical, dental, etc.

Per Fish n Game link above.

Mandatory Report and Check: Any hunter
killing a wolf must report the harvest within 24 hours
by calling the Wolf Reporting Number at 1-877-872-
3190. Consideration will be given to those hunting in
backcountry units. Additionally, any hunter killing a
wolf must, within 5 days of the date of kill, present
the skull and hide to a Fish and Game regional office
or conservation officer for removal and retention of
a premolar tooth and to have the hide tagged with an
official state export tag.
