Suggestions for Source for 38 Special Ammo
« on: April 23, 2009, 09:48:36 PM »
Now that I have the gun I need to find various 38 Special and +P ammo to try in the gun (S&W Model 387 Mt Lite).  Any ideas where to look for a decent selection at a decent price?

Thanks
Pat

Cabellas had some on Monday... don't know if it's still there or not.  PMC and Remington.  FMJ stuff only.

Boise Gun Company had a small selection so I now have 5 different loads (I got the last box on three of them) for my daughter to try including a 50 round box of PMC to practice with.  Not looking for more right now as the price was not what it used to be  ::)  :'(

Impact just got some .38 in today.  I think there is a limit that you can buy and I doubt it lasts long.

Got brass?  Buy components and learn to reload.  I've got dies and the rest of the tools that you'll need if you are willing to buy consumables and invest your time.

I have brass, bullets, powder, primers and dies.  Just like the factory crimps over my poor attempt at a double crimp for the light weight revolver recoil.

I've got quite a bit of .38spl ammo just hanging around with no .38/.357 to shoot them out of.  We might be able to work out a deal if you're interested.
