Active Concealed Carry/Defensive Pistol
This course reviews the fundamentals covered in the Basic Pistol Course, and adds more sophisticated manipulation and shooting techniques, which include speed shooting, strong and weak hand only shooting, malfunction clearances, reloading drills, shooting on the move. Each student should have a good basic understanding of his or her pistol before attending.
Student Requirements: Pistol, 250 rounds of ammunition, holster, 3 magazines, magazine holders, eye and ear protection, concealment vest or shirt, long sleeve sweatshirt, gloves.
Defensive Shotgun
The 12 gauge shotgun is one of the most powerful CQB weapons available in the small arms arsenal, yet it is one of the least understood. This course primarily focuses on the Push/Pull method of recoil control. Using his unique method of recoil management, the student will be able to reduce felt recoil by nearly 50%. Other topics include; marksmanship fundamentals, patterning zones, ammunition selection, equipment selection, malfunction clearances, pistol transitions, pivots/turns, and shooting on the move.
Student Requirements: Semi-auto or pump shotgun. 150 rounds of 7 1/2 or 8 birdshot, 10 rounds buckshot, 10 rounds slugs, and eye and ear protection. If you have a sling for your shotgun, bring it.
