I'm going to make a Penny Stove to compare to my JetBoil, Sierra Stove, and Esbit Pocket Stove.
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

When this testing occurs we'll need to include my SnowPeak Giga Titanium w/ Piezo lighter also.

That'll be interesting.  The primary measurement is how fast you can boil 16oz or 32oz of water.  If you had to start the fire from scratch you'd be WAY behind the others.

I'd like to be able to measure and compare the amount of fuel each took but with different fuels it seems pretty sketchy.

yeah, the fire would already have to be going to provide heat...  but it burns no petro chems

What about solar ovens, I think those are a viable survival item and merit some attention.

I never made the penny stove.  It's still on my list and I even have the cans but I haven't got the time.
