Went to Sportsmans today
« on: March 26, 2009, 09:45:03 PM »
and took this pic of the ammo isle (all the ammo the store has left)
FYI: those tiny stacks are only 1 box deep.

only .223 they had was 62 grain Winchester silver box for $25.99 per 20 rounds (counted 5 boxes in stock)
they had 10 50 round boxes of .45acp (overpriced as well)
and 3 boxes of .40 S&W (again overpriced)
not even 1 box of .308

no .223, or .308 brass or bullets

the only ammo they had in any quantity were the oddball calibers.

When I was in they had plenty of 12g slugs thats about it.  I am looking for good deals on 00 or #1 buck shot.  They pissed me off with their going out of business sale of 30%.  When you walk in everything is marked individually at less than 15% off.  Bastards just wont learn even when they are going out of business.

The pic was from the Meridian store, not the Nampa one.

You should have seen the one in Salem, OR. You would have thought they just put the shelves in.

What is a pain the stores in our area that carried powder and reloading items
quit because Sportsman just pushed them out and now we are having a hard time
getting bullets and other reloading items...........Walmart and Sportsman are totally

What's interesting is Midway is competitive again, even with the shipping.  I quit using Midway, except for odds and ends, years ago because it was cheaper at Intermountain Arms and then Sportsman's.  Now they aren't looking so bad, especially stuff on sale.
