Every rifle I have built I have gotten parts from Model 1 and M&A.  Both are top notch.  Both of them get their stuff from the same places as DPMS RRA and such.   I pulled this off of M&As site it pretty much gives the cold truth, alot of people dont know.   With Model 1 they are buying from the same people M&A is.

"Q: Who makes you barrels? A: Wilson & Mike Rock Barrels. When a caller is seemingly happy with that answer, we remind them that half the world utilizes barrel blanks from Wilson, the other half from Shaw. The real question is: who machines the barrel blanks into the finished product? Ask the other guys these questions, but understand that you must ask the correct question. And- as the attornies know... always know the answer to the question before you ask it!"

"Most of our uppers are from Lewis Machine and Tool (LMT).Unless notied otherwise. Our barrels are Wilson Match /Rock /Match Grade 4140 Chrome Moly unless otherwise noted. LMT cuts, finishes and chambers the barrels. LMT assembles, times, headspaces, chambers and function test fires each barreled upper (not every third or fifth one as some suppliers might) and all of the other minor parts included are from current US Govt contract machine shops. The same first-rate US Govt contractor that we have always used for the bolt/carrier assemblies is still our supplier. They prefer anonymity. While we absolutely stand by and attest to the above, know that most of our component parts are "sanitized", that is- without marks, for obvious reasons when you consider the nature of the needs of the larger section of our customer base."

"We do not have a machine shop in a Quonset hut "out back" full of men turning out consumer grade parts. Again- we buy our parts by the pallet from current US Government Contract Parts Houses. Then- a lot of respected rifle manufacturers buy their parts from us. That's why we just smile when someone says, "Don't build a "parts gun", buy one from a rifle company". Truth be known- they're all parts guns. If a guy that is in business for profit merely screws a pistol grip to a complete lower, he must collect from you an 11% Federal Excise Tax. Buy a stripped lower, you do the rest, Save the $$$$"

I put a couple together with their kits, they run good, they are accurate... fit and finish is nice... they locked tight to the RRA lowers, and the finish matched perfectly.

I've seen some pretty crappy small parts from them.  YMMV
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.
