155gr. AMAX recovery
« on: July 12, 2007, 11:17:13 PM »
This is how a 155gr .308 AMAX holds up to a badgers ribcage @ 220 yds.  quartering away.  Bullet entered ribcage like a grenade.  fist sized disintegration,  traveled 4" up to armpit.

recovered 102.3 grains, jacket separation upon removal

that is all

And was the result the rotting and stinking badger carcass right at our shooting spot?  If so, remind me to apply some boot to ass next time I see you.  :stick:

Aren't badgers fur bearers?  Aren't they supposed to be skinned?  The one at the shooting spot hadn't been skinned.  And it was too ripe to go looking for entry and exit wounds.
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.
