AMMO at cabelas
« on: February 18, 2009, 01:55:27 PM »
hey guys,

i was talking with some freinds about the lack of ammo at cabelas and all the other stores, well two of them work at cabelas and according to them there really isnt a ammo shortage. they said they have tons of 9 and .40 and .45 ball ammo and .223 etc... in the back room but that cabelas is restricting how much they put out to keep the "ammo scare" up.

not sure if this is the same for walmart, i know sportsmans is out because they are having problems with the company bein sold so they are not ordering new stock till its straightened out.

just thought id pass this on...

Figures.
America is at an awkward stage, it's too late to work within the system, and to early to shoot the bastards.

This is not Supply Side Economics - this is bad faith marketing towards customers and price gouging. The worst thing Cabela's could have done for me was not to be catalog and  phone ordering. Their physical presence and store are a Fail...

And it's just another reason to hate them. Tack on poor customer service, rude service staff, gun counter associates who know nothing more about guns than the clothing staff, and that little Open Carry incident, and you have yourself one turd of a store.

Well on the other hand the same guy that told us about the ammo said that they sold something like 35 ARs in 3 days following the election... I'm kinda happy on one hand that those where here in the valley. Either way it's always interesting to know what they have in the back.

Agreed, if they had stock in the back why not bring it out and make the sale.  Cabela's has been sending customers to Cliff's because they don't have what they want.
