 The high cost of ammo 223, 308 and so on the 22 looks like a smart idea.....
The cost is still affordable and has worked on most hunting trips for small animals.........

It an't cheap anymore.

None of the bulk stuff at Wally world and word is that when it comes back into stock it will be 300-400% higher in price.


Buy yes cheaper than what .223  is going to be.

It's a sad statement but I wish I could afford a 10/22.  I bought a Savage Mark II to teach my son with.  $117 brand new at Wally World at the time.  My 6yo was putting shots through the same hole at 25 yards.  Only problem I've had with it was the magazine catch didn't hold it tight enough for the rounds to load consistently.  A bend at the right spot fixed that.  Can't complain for the price though.
