Just used Dillons "No BS" warranty.
« on: April 19, 2007, 11:53:49 AM »
It was damn painless. Called, John picked up said "Hi" gave his name and asked me for my customer number, I was clueless, looked me up by zip and address, asked what I wanted, I gave him the 3 part numbers, he said "Ok we'll ship them out today", I said thanks, and we hung up.

Now thats customer service.......

just curious of the specifics of the parts.  wear or catastrophic failure.  I want to pick up a few parts as "back ups"  the cartridge retainer spring looks to be a consumable (or at least easily fuckupable) on the hornady

They were 3 parts that had to do with the loading of brass cases, they cause the case feed tray for the shell plate to move out-wards and accept a case from the case tube. Made from a nylon material.

No catastrophic failure just some wear after 15k rounds or so. Wasn't preventing the machine from working, just thought it would be a good form of preventative maintenance as I'm between mass reloading sessions. They are also sending me two powder dispenser rod springs. These don't wear out, at least they haven't. But I've lost one before so I decided to be proactive.

I was damned impressed with the service/warranty. But it *is* what Dillon advertises.

A buddy of mine bought a used 550 press some years back.  Shipped it back to Dillon and they completely refurbished it for him for free.

I got in the habit of purchasing a spares kit for my 650's so if I needed something ASAP I had it on hand and just called Dillon to have the bad part replaced which went right back into my spare parts kit for future needs.

Called them about a priming issue on my 550B. Turns out I had installed it incorrectly.
They were damned interested as to why it did not work...in fact, they were ready to send me a new priming system after 20 minutes on the phone with them.
Damned good service, and their stuff WORKS.  ;D
