Is there anyone in Boise that repairs automatic knives? I have a Benchmade and a Dalton that need to be repaired.... thanks

I don't know about the Dalton, but pretty sure you send the Benchmade back to Benchmade for repair.  That would be where I'd send mine...

You can send it back to Benchmade but they won't return it unless you are MIL/LE.  Same with their lifetime sharpening deal.  :(

Been that way for a long time.  It's stupid but that's the way it is.  Unless they changed their policy and I haven't heard.

I don't know about autos, but i just repaired my Kershaw assisted opening knife myself.  I could have sent it back as well and they would have done it free of charge.  but i had already taken my knife apart and knew what needed to be done.  they sent me my new parts free of charge and i was good to go.

Thanks, I will probably end up trying to repair them.  I just didn't want to screw them up worse........... :(

Benchmade will repair their autos for you... but you have to send it from a dealer to them or it violates federal law or some such BS like that... then they return to dealer and you pick it up. Had to do that with my presidio (spring was weak, and got returned weak, and speaking of which is weaker than ever) through sportsmans whorehouse... process was smooth and quick.
