« on: November 30, 2008, 09:28:00 PM »
Have you noticed the land being Locked up......
Many different titles studies. wilderness study from kinghill to highway
46 north of Gooding, Payette National Forest closures, Sawtooth as well
the country north Murphy hot springs to Mountain Home, The Silver City Area,
Owhyee River area and a great deal more.....
Look at the areas you hunt and play in many are being locked up....
Open land in 96 NOW closed north of Fairfield most of the roads in that area
were there at the turn of the century because of mining and timber....
Most is not LAW yet but soon call Washington and say what you think
about the LOSS of Public LAND...Your choice......

I agree  we need to be more on top of this it been going on more and more. The Feds technically have no right to land in the states except by permission of the states. Too bad Americans don't know their history like they should.

The new travel plan the Forest Circus put out for this year is ridiculous.  It's public land, but they have to keep the public off of it.  Whiskey Tango Fox-Trot?  "Hey lets pay a crap load of money in taxes so the F.S. and BLM can let the dam forest burn down and then lock us out of them."  That's great!  But we can't log it or mine in it!  That might strengthen our industrial base.  Can't have that, can we.  Then the Chinese would have to pay more to buy our country out from under us. >:(
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice, for I am a hunter,
And I must have my freedom.

Having been around for quite a while and having seen our Rights, Freedom, and Liberty being systematically usurped by the D.C. politicians, I strongly believe that it is only a matter of time before all public land will be closed for hunting by us serfs, worker peasants, and villeins (and that's how they think of us).

All it would take would be a few Presidential Executive Orders, and a few laws passed by Congress and then signed by the President, to close the public lands for hunting or any other recreational use they wished.

Considering who now controls our Congress, Senate, and White house..........

Well, come to your own conclusions.

Just my take on it.
