Giraud Power Trimmer
« on: November 30, 2008, 03:11:34 PM »
Just a thought,

I've been looking to buy the Giraud Power trimmer for my 223 brass. but I find it hard to justify $390+$23 shipping

So I was brainstorming today (if you can call it that), and thought about suggesting it as a community tool for all of us to use, say for example if 10+ people were interested, we'd pool $41 a piece. and buy the thing, giving each other a week to trim all the bulk brass they have, I'm sure some of you have several thousand rounds waiting to be trimmed, and trimming by hand this many rounds is a real pain in the ass to deal with.

then for those who paid in for the pool who have finished using it, rent it out to those who didn't pay in the pool, charge them a small fee for a weeks use/rental.

or I could just buy the damm thing, and rent it out by the week to those of you on here.

Have a RCBS hand trimer put a three way cutter
on it and a power drill take it slow and does a good
job on 223 and 30 cal have a three way cutter for both.
Letting other use a power tool is sometime a mistake.....
One could charge to do brass to help pay for the trimer.......

you could always check out the Gracey trimmer if you don't want to spend that much on the Giraud.

I have one and i think PV74 had/has one. I really like mine it defiantly speeds up the process, and way worth the price tag after the first session of 400+ pieces of brass

I have a swager and power trimmer setup for .223 that I could let you use.
I’m processing 50 pounds of brass now and it would not be any trouble to run your brass at the same time if you would be up for giving me a hand.

Shoot me a PM.

I'm using pv74's Gracy for a about another week or two ....  I need one!

Yeah this one gets hot and the motor has too cool down , but then I have other things to do and once it cools I start up again.

This thing is great!
