Lights Out by Halffast

Here's a decent site with all kinds of survival/preparedness stuff.  It's broken down into projects and information.  Check it out.

Also here's another part of that site with some good info on food and water procurement.

Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

I guess Halffast is writing another book. A SF novel called "Lost and Found". It's only at chapter 9 right now. I think I'd just as soon wait until the whole book is done and read it all at once.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  ~William Pitt

Yea, I'm going to wait.  I'd hate to get into the middle of it and then have to wait a year for him to finish it (BTDT).

However, here it is if you want to read it: http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=123&t=483521

Is anyone familiar with site? Lots of great info. They have a closed membership and some stiff requirements for when membership is open.

But their is lots of good information. And some funny stories about stupid stuff people do that get them in trouble. Guess you learn from their mistakes.

Yea, lots of info there.  I used to be a member.  The leader (at that time) was a real dick.  Lets just say that I don't miss it at all.  I heard the camp-outs/training were a real laugh as they were mostly all couch potatoes (that actually brought couches out into the woods) that sat around drinking and telling tall tales about how uber they were.  I didn't last long enough to even consider going to one.

ETA: they have a few openings so why not join and see?  Maybe it's not a screwed up as I remember.

That would make sense with what I have seen. Lots of creative soultions to different problems. But when I read some of the Survival stories I would laugh and think WTF these guys are suppose to be survivalist? Lucky to alive stories should be the title.

But like I stated good chance to learn from their mistakes. Thanks for the info Jeff, I'll just glean some knowledge and not worry about joining.

I asked warlord from ARFCOM if he was the same Warlord from this site and he said "Nope", just incase anyone wondered.
