Idaho Fish and Game officials are looking for anyone who may have seen or have any information about poachers who killed a mule deer buck outside Idaho City earlier last week.
Conservation Officer Marshall Haynes found the deer carcass Nov. 4 near Granite Creek Road.
"They shot it right next to the road," said Evin Oneale, a spokesman for Idaho Fish and Game. He speculated that the poachers abandoned it when another car came up the road.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Citizens Against Poaching, which is offering a reward. Call the CAP hotline at 1-800-632-5999; it operates 24 hours a day.
