here's what I got this year:

same as I've gotten the past 4 years

next year I don't think I'll bother taking a F-ing gun, if all I'm going to be doing is hiking around, I probably should look the part.
You know what I think?  It don't really matter what I think.

OB,
It is still good to get out and your rifles need to be taken for a walk in the woods every now and then even if they don't get to spit at anything.  I've had pretty limited success since moving to this part of the state as well.  It's been my experience that nothing makes up for raw time in the woods weather it be during hunting season or not.  To see game you gotta be out there and figure out what their habits are and where their haunts are.  Map recon can give you some potential areas to start in,  look for places you'd rather not walk into on foot.  Get away from roads and places accessible by ATV.  I hate to put all my eggs in one basket, but sometimes you have to commit yourself to taking the time to pack into an area that other hunters aren't willing to go to or don't have the time.  In an area hunted as heavily as 39 is, finding those types of places is the key to finding game.  Your other option is finding private land to hunt on where there aren't so many hunters.
