Best local ammo prices?
« on: March 31, 2007, 08:59:01 PM »
$5.99/20 on WWB is about the best I've seen - are there any other deals locally (Boise/Nampa)?  Impact is selling American Eagle for $8.99 a box.

Sometimes I get lucky at Cabellas, besides them and Sportsmans Warehouse, is there anyplace I'm missing that carries ammo at ~reasonable~ prices?

Wal-mart, when they have some in stock, has federal blue box 200 round value packs for like $52.

Hi, who are you? :)

Just a local, I post every now and then on the Hometown forum on AR-15.com.  I've never made it to any of the shoots or Thursday night meetings (I've got commitments every Thursday night), so nobody really knows me.

Right now I'm testing for ISP and working at a construction supply firm in Boise.  I didn't see an 'introduce yourself' thread, so I thought I'd just start be asking a question.

Who are you?  ;D

;D Thats good enough for me ;D.

Since we're talking ammo here, does anyone have an opinion on these rounds -

http://www.ammo4guns.com/RIFLE_AMMO.html.

Go almost half the page down, and check out the PSA Spectrum, its polymer .223 ammo!  I read a pretty positive review over on Saiga.com.  It is cheaper than the other .223 ammo, but not too much less (per round) than the Fiochi 55 grain 1000 round box.

Anyone seen/used it?

I've shot the SA NATO ammo allot. It's excellent shooting ammo, as far as military stuff goes. It's not reloadable as it's Berden primed. Well, actually you can reload a Berden primed case, with the proper de-priming tool and *if* you can find the primers.

Bad Spiff.   ::)  He asked about the PCA Spectrum polymer stuff.  Not SA NATO.  :P

I've heard of that stuff a long time ago.  Whoever it was (someone on ARFCOM I think) had lots of problems with it.  Of course it's not reloadable either.
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.
