Five tags- Five Deer- A Few Photos!
« on: October 18, 2008, 07:13:26 AM »
Another Deer season has come and gone! We are truly blessed to have been raised here in Idaho with the fantastic outdoor hunting opportunities we enjoy! Wifey and I both drew doe tags in 49 near Sun Valley where we grew up. Opening day Wifey tagged her doe and she never misses an opportunity to drive through Sun Valley with bloody license plates and a carcase on her car to offend the granola liberals who have saturated the area!

I forgot to mention it snowed, 3 days in a row. Wifey, my brother and Mike slept on the mountain all three nights (nuts) My brother and my youngest son both nailed their animals, a buck and a doe a couple days later! My brother made the mistake of hitting his buck with an old FMJ round hitting the pelvis and shattering it in the hind quarters. It looked hit he had been hit with a .50 round LOL

My eldest son and I joined the group a day later and by Thursday this week we found a nice herd on a ridge and had our does. We have a full chest freezer and jerky meet for winter!

The final picture?? Wifey standing on top of the boulder she dealt with in my truck. She managed to high center my trucks rear axle on top of this thing! She eventually got my rig off the top of it but hey, nice driving babe!! LOL

All in all, a wonderful way to spend a week and a half! What a fantastic state we have!

From the Parma Rod & Gun club web site:

Feb 9     Saturday     Wild Game Feed     6:00 pm Senior Center in Parma     Tickets $25 each
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.
