REALLY TEMPTED to Go Spring Bear Hunting

I am thinking of hunting a spring bear over bate.
Has anyone ever done this?

Should I hunt from a ground blind or a tree-stand?

I've got a friend that keeps inviting me for a spring hunt with his hounds.  IMHO that is the way to go.  Unfortunately the schedules have never worked out to actually go.  I have absolutely no interest in having hounds but I would sure like to hunt off someone else's pack.
