Not a bad idea. I'll call tomorrow and see about being a dealer.

At least a group buy.  Hopefully I can get them even cheaper.

That looks like a good idea. However, when I was in Michigan during the Northeast Blackout of 2003 the water pumps in the Detroit area were not even running (not a good thing in to happen in Detroit, and since I had flown in I didn't even bring anything for self defense). Water sold out at the few stores that were open within hours.

So while it would be great to have something like a WaterBob, I think it is a good idea to also have a 1-2 55 gallon drums just to be sure. We only have one right now, but we are probably going to get a second.

You can live a long time without food, but you can't make it very long without water. Especially if it is summer and the AC isn't working.

If we could get a discounted price I'd be interested in buying at least one.

I agree that the Waterbob isn't the only tool you should have.  ;)  But, having a tub full of drinkable water that's protected from the elements seems like a great idea if you know trouble is coming.

Yeah, and when I consider that I have a family to take care of and I that don't think too much about spending twenty bucks on much less important things, it makes me think that I should probably by one whether or not it is discounted.

Well, I see no reason we couldn't do a group buy and get 4 or 8 or ... So, I'm guessing that the real price would be $16 + shipping.  Or less.  Seems like a no brainer to me.  One thing that pisses me off is that I can fill up my tubs but they slowly leak out so the water doesn't last long.  With one of these that water could last a long time and be used when necessary.

Heh.
1. Place ShowerBOB in shower
2. Place fill spout over shower head
3. Fill, could take up to 20 minutes
4. Get out of the way before 833 lb. bag of water crushes you to death
5. Profit?

I finally got a call and and email.  They are revising their wholesale details and said they'd update me next week (assuming they get it all worked out).  :(  I'll post an update when I get more from them.

Order finally placed (with confirmation this time but no tracking number yet; expect them next week sometime).  I ordered 5 more (total of 25) so I'll update the original post and add you late comers into the mix.

The Sandbox is a forum in the Registered Members area.  I might have one left but I need to find the last box and make sure.  So, I don't know is the only answer I have for now.
