What do you carry
« on: September 08, 2008, 08:31:18 PM »
What do you carry in the field when you go hunting, shooting or
just out and about.
Pack, fanny pack or nothing just extra ammo...

Depends.  Usually a small/med pack unless I know I've a good chance of being out over night.  I don't like fanny packs much.

Hunting season we have small camelback type day packs from Falcon I believe they are. Enough for some small eats, knife, drag bar, game back, tags, water and the typical EM stuff,

Everyday carry: Glock 26, Glock 18, spare mag, E2E light, Gerber multitool, Cold Steel Voyager, CRKT M-16, Spyderco Rescues (2), Strider Folder. (I like the Strider best), "rope-cuffs", juice, challenge coin, badge.
Work: same.
No time to hunt anymore.

Everyday carry all I have is soon my babyeagle.  CRKT folder, Schrade X Timer, The car is where it gets weird.  Lets see a piece of diamond willow club, a small axe handle, a very good first aid kit, a cheap not hooked up prepay cell phone.  When Iam out hiking a medic bag like what combat medics use, + signal flares, chem lights, e-tool etc.   As far as hunting dont hunt just practice long shots just in case with a rem .308.  Oh I usually pack the family along but thats just for bear bait   ;). (dont tell my wife)

Kel-tec PF-9 in my pocket. No extra mags, I figure if I have to reload I'm in trouble!
